AJJBWF hereby announced that Ju-Jitsu Sports has been given official status by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) by including the event into the 1st Asian Martial Art Games, 2009 commencing from 01-09 August, 2009 at Bangkok (Thailand). 42 NOCs out of 45 which are the members of OCA, are participating in this first ever Olympic moot of Martial Art ever in Asia. Ju-Jitsu event will be held at Bangkok Youth Centre (Thai-Japan). 15 NOCs initially submitted their entries to the Organizing Committee to participate in Ju-Jitsu event which will be held in 05 Weight Categories for Fighting System including 03 for Men -69,-77,-85 and 02 for women -55,-62kg together with Duo Mixed and Duo Women. Opening Ceremony of Ju-Jitsu event will be on 3rd August at 14:00 hrs. Whereas, the Closing Ceremony will be 21:00 hrs. On 6th August.
The results of the said event will soon be available on Asian Federation website.
