ITEM NO.1
Review of the 1st Asian Championship, 2007
Mr. Nasrullah Kakavand, Director Sports explained and apprised the house about the 1st Asian Championship and pointed out the problems faced during the Championship. He emphasized the importance of Karate part and to make more coordination with Europe and Asia. He also referred that there was no Referee Committee from Asian Federation only Referee from World Referee Committee, who conducted the Asian Championship for Ju-Jitsu Sports. He further pointed out that Mr. Jemmy from Taiwan may be placed as the Referee Committee, General Secretary, Booklet about the Referees showing their placed and performances should be published. Judges/Referees should be appreciated and recognized by the AJJBWF.
Mr. Boulat pointed out that there were many mis-takes and was low level of organized during the Championship. He further apprised the house that the level of the Referees should be enhanced by conducting the courses of the Judges/Referees. There was too much body conduct among the competitors, specially participants of Central Asia States i.e. Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan conducted and played rash sports, which should not be allowed and the players must be taught the rules to pay the sports with patient and not to kill or injured the others. He also inquired why Japanese Federation has not participated in Ju-Jitsu event and we must create close relationship with Japan and provide in educational and technical help they required.
Dr. Henry Kothagoda of Singapore pointed out that Kicks and Punches must be defined as just to touch and get point and not to closed contact. He proposed to appoint a Technical Committee with three subject Committees: (i) Referee Committee (ii) Coaches Committee (iii) Training Committee.
Mr. Amjad Ali, Director Marketing proposed the element of torches in the game, it should not be a contact game providing the torches of body contact. He further proposed to provide the equipment to safe the players. Mr. Boulat pointed out that the board should recommend some measures to decrees the calamities of injuries during the competition as it is the responsibility of the Federation to safe the lives of the players.
Mr. Henry from Singapore pointed out that full contact sports are more popular then non contact sports.
Mr. Kakavand pointed out that Kicks and Punches should be in the way not to heart any body to depends upon the Referees Rules.
The President, Mr. Khalil Ahmed Khan by summoning up the long discussion apprised the house by stating them that this Championship was held with the collaboration of International Belt Wrestling Association as a part of World Championship. Since our Federation is newly born Federation and we do not have any resources. The President also pointed out the mis-behaviour of certain officials during the competition and advised the members to observe the rules and regulations. He further pointed out that during this competition, there was only one License Referee, no infrastructure, no qualified Referees, therefore, as a 1st measure we should have License/qualified Referees then we can put them into the next Championship. AJJBWF should also concentrate in organizing maximum courses to educate for Referees as well as Coaches. He further pointed out that the complaints about lack of the facilities by the members is genuine, however, facilities were proposed to be provided by the host country. The host country did its best by providing the maximum while conducting the three Championship at the same time. We must have more and more courses and examinations for the Referees. The Asian Federation should be thankful of Mr. Mario and Mr. Joachim for their help and support. It was unanimously approved that body contact should not be allowed at any course while observing the JJIF Rules. Mr. Boulat was authorized to contact Japan Federation through Jaika for technical help to the Federation. It was further decided to inform the member federations to observe the discipline and not to create any problem for the Technical Committee or the Organizers during the competition. It further decided that next Championship would be conducted specially for Ju-Jitsu as well as Belt Wrestling on alternative days basis.
ITEM NO.2
Approval of Calendar for 2007
The Director Sports apprised the house for Event Calendar for 2007 in details.
DECISION
The report was unanimously adopted and approved.
FORMATION OF INTERNAL RULES
Mr. Boulat emphasized to have internal rules for the Federation and to translate the existing rules in different languages.
DECISION
The house unanimously approved. The suggestions authorized Mr. Boulat to translate the statutes and technical rules and Russian language and circulated in Russian speaking countries. Mr. Saad was authorized to translate into Arabic, whereas, Mr. Kakavand into Persian and Chinese translation will be translated by Taiwan within two months.
ITEM NO. 4
Educational Schedule
It was proposed to print the Referees Rules, Coaches Rules and conducted the Coaches as well as Competitors Seminars throughout the Asia to educate the maximum peoples in Ju-Jitsu and Belt Wrestling.
DECISION
The proposal was unanimously approved. It was further decided to issue the Coaching Syllabus as well as Referee Booklet to all the members to conduct maximum people and uplift the standard of the games.
SUGGESTIONS OF FUNDS
The treasurer apprised the house that Federation has no funds in the moment and we must approach the member countries for their contribution and more measures should be adopted to raise the funds/revenue even by imposing participating fee for the official tournaments. Mr. Boulat, Vice President offered his contribution of US$ 5000 and Mrs. Abida Tanweer, Chairperson Women Committee offered US$ 2000 as a contribution to start with the Federation fund.
DECISION
The report was unanimously approved and the US$ 100 was imposed as participating fee for onward official competition. It was further decided to open an bank account immediately and house thanked the kind gesture of Mr. Boulat and Mrs. Abida Tanweer.
CHANGING IN REFEREES COMMITTEE
Mr. Kakavand stressed to change the Director Referee as he did not appear on the occasion of 1st Asian Championship and asked to change the Committee as well as by inducting Mr. Jemmi from Taiwan.
DECISION
The suggestions of Sports Director was turned down unanimously as it is in contradiction with statutes, however, induction of Mr. Jemmy is subject to recommendation of Taiwan Federation.
ANY OTHER ITEM
It was proposed by the Director Marketing to issue Identity Cards for the officers, technical officials during the Championship to distinguish from others. It was further suggested that Identity Cards be issued alongwith licenses to all the Referees as well as Coaches duly trained by the AJJBWF.
DECISION
The proposal was unanimously approved. There being no item left of the agenda, the President thanked the members and particularly Mr. Boulat for his contribution and cooperation enclosed the meeting.
